Koh Samui ‘a dream destination’

Wednesday, July 21st, 2010

Koh Samui in Thailand is a dream holiday destination which boasts coconut palms, luxury spacs and white sandy beaches, one travel writer has praised.

Tourists may be tempted to look into cheap flights to Thailand by the promise of an amazing time on Koh Samui. According to Venere.com, the island has now moved on from the hippie haven seen 20 years ago to become a top class international holiday spot.

However, the island still holds appeal for a wide range of holidaymakers, from backpackers to those seeking real luxury and five-star treatment.

One tip which could be interesting to those taking cheap flights to Thailand is that the south and west coasts of the island are both home to beaches and spots much quieter than in the main tourist areas of Chaweng and Lamai.

Those looking for stunning natural beauty may want to take the time to head to the sandy shore featured in the film The Beach, on Koh Phi Phi Leh, which is only accessible by a boat ride and then a swim.
